The City of Myrtle Beach has instituted new biker ordinances that hare really not gone over well with the general market. Whenever politicians get involved, it just never seems to go well for anyone. Comments from disappointed biker groups ran as follows: "This isn't about the rallies. This is about the freedoms we have," said resident, motorcyclist and motel owner William O'Day. "As soon as you stop fighting for your freedoms, you lose them."
May will be an interesting month for Myrtle Beach without the planned rallies. North Myrtle Beach has welcomed the bikers and Myrtle Beach is expecting Biker traffic, even with the new ordinances. Let's see how this plays out.
June, July, and August are filling in, even with the current economic climate. Cindy Hommes, General Manager of Myrtle Beach Barefoot Resort stated, "Our sales are up in the Month of March for the Summer season.
